Driving Clinic June 20th
The rain held off for the long awaited Carriage Driving Seminar and Demonstration. The Ulster County Horse Council (UCHC) in collaboration with the Mid Hudson Driving Association (MHDA) provided a free educational seminar with demonstrations to the equine enthusiasts in and around Ulster County. The MHDA provided the presenters, horses, and carts with the UCHC sponsoring the event.

UCHC member, Myron Langer of Loosestrife Farm, offered the facility site for the clinic. The farm provided essential amenities in case of impending rain, which included an indoor arena, horse stalls, and a nice size lunchroom. Luckily, the event was able to be held outside in the dressage sized, opened arena. The event time was loosely held to, starting slightly after 9:30 am and ending approximately 12:30 pm. At the end of the clinic, the equine participants were then safely tucked away in stalls or trailers with their lunch and snacks. The coordinators, presenters and several remaining auditors headed to the lunchroom to take advantages of the self-serve buffet provided by the Ulster County Horse Council.

Twenty (20) individuals attended the event and the UCHC would like to thank all involved especially Eunice Shumalski from MHDA, Shannon Budnick, Hudson Valley Regional Director, Myron Langer, Clinic Coordinator and Carol Fitzpatrick, President with the UCHC for their time and efforts.
